Mary Arcana provided a great overview on how to market yourself or “self-present” through a straightforward process that, if followed, has proven to be highly effective. One example she shared was of a principal scientist that had just moved his family to the Bay Area only to be laid off within weeks. He was highly cooperative in following Mary’s suggestions. Two months later, he had received three offers. Others had similar results, by following a few of Mary's suggested alterations in their resume and approach, Mary shared her professional experience as a recruiter and provided practical orientation on how to control one's placement in the job market.
